How to Make Money on Cafepress

CafePress is an online marketplace that allows you to customize and design 70+ products and sell them through free user created shops. There are also premium shops available for a monthly fee that allows you to create a fully customizable shopping experience for your visitors. This article will walk you through the process of making money on CafePress.

Steps

Visit the CafePress join page to create an account.

Enter your email address (This will be used as your CafePress user ID), create a password, select and answer a password reminder question, and enter your birthdate using the drop down menus.

Review the Terms of Service and click the checkbox to agree to them.

Click the “Join Now” button to create your account.

Answer the 8 questions by select the most relevant answer from the drop down menus. (Optional). Answering these questions will help CafePress recommend the best account type for your specific needs.

Click the “Open Your Shop!” button.

Select either the “Open A Premium Shop” button or the “Open a Basic Shop” button depending on what account type best suits your requirements. A premium account is best for those that want to make money on CafePress. This will allow advanced customization of your shop and the ability to change prices on demand. (A basic shop is used in this example).

Enter a shop ID. This will used as the ending of your shop’s URL. For example, http://www.cafepress.com/ShopID.

Enter a shop name. Enter the name exactly as you want it to appear on your shop.

Enter a page that users will return to after placing an order. By default they will be directed back to the shop front page. (Optional)

Enter your birthdate using the drop down menus.

Review the CafePress Seller Agreement and click the checkbox to agree to it.

Click the “Submit” button.

Click the “Build Your Shop” button to complete the process and create your shop.

You can now start selling your products and making money through CafePress. All payments are made within 60 days from the month the product was sold via check or PayPal.
